QR codes for events and weddings: photos, RSVP and programmes
Invitations are printed weeks before the details are final. A dynamic QR code lets you print early and decide late: the code on the invitation stays the same while the page it opens — RSVP, programme, photo album — evolves until the day itself.
The three classic uses
- RSVP: QR on the invitation → online form (Google Forms or similar). Change or extend the form anytime.
- Programme & info: QR on table cards → schedule, menu, map, dress code — updated to the last minute.
- Shared photo album: QR on tables → guests upload their photos to a shared album (Google Photos, Drive...). The album link can be created even AFTER printing, thanks to the dynamic QR.
Why dynamic saves the day
Venues change, schedules slip, the album gets created the week of the event. If the invitation QR is static you must know every final URL before printing — unrealistic. A Link Us dynamic QR decouples printing from decisions: print in month one, point it at the right page in month three.
Practical setup
- Create one dynamic link per purpose (rsvp, info, photos) — clear titles help.
- Point them at a placeholder page first ("details coming soon") so the QR works from day one.
- Download SVG codes for the print designer.
- Update the destinations as decisions land; check scan statistics to see engagement.
- After the event, re-point the photo QR to the final curated album — the table cards guests kept still work.
