Terms of Service

These Terms govern the use of Link Us (l-k.us), a URL-shortening service operated by Nube S.r.l. By using the service you accept these Terms.

1. The service

Link Us lets you turn long URLs into short links and QR codes. Without an account you can create static short links and static QR codes: their destination can never be changed. With a free account, subject to email verification and the marketing consent described below, you can also create dynamic links and dynamic QR codes whose destination you can edit at any time, and view click statistics.

2. Free service and marketing consent

The whole service — including the account — is free of charge and does not require any marketing consent. Dynamic features (dynamic links and dynamic QR codes) are additionally unlocked for users who grant the two optional marketing consents described in the Privacy Policy (marketing by Nube S.r.l.; communication of data to third-party partners, including transfers outside the EU/EEA). You may withdraw either consent at any time: existing dynamic links keep redirecting, but editing them and creating new dynamic content is suspended until both consents are granted again. Static features remain available to everyone without any consent.

3. Account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to link to or promote:

• illegal content or activities;
• phishing, malware, spyware or any harmful software;
• unsolicited bulk messaging (spam) or deceptive practices;
• content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
• violent, hateful or sexually exploitative content involving minors (zero tolerance).

5. Enforcement

We may disable any link or account, at any time and without notice, when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or the law, or endangers the service or third parties. We cooperate with competent authorities.

6. Availability and warranty

The service is provided free of charge "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it fast and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of profits arising from the use or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any right that consumers have under mandatory law.

7. Your content

You keep all rights to the URLs and titles you submit. You grant us the technical licence needed to store and serve them. You warrant that your use of the service does not violate any third-party right.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account page; this permanently deletes your links. We may terminate the service or these Terms with reasonable notice to registered users.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email at least 15 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of your place of residence or domicile. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. For any other case, the courts of Cagliari (Italy) have jurisdiction.
